Building Family Bridges – Project strengthens communities

The Dash Charity have received funding and are really pleased to be able to support the Building Family Bridges (BFB) project in East Berkshire.

How can Building Family Bridges help me?
We offer the support you need to find out what you would like to do
We support you in creating a plan to achieve your goals
You will gain skills and confidence to make positive changes for you and your family
You will feel more positive about your own and your family’s future

Building Family Bridges (BFB) is a collaborative, multi-agency project led by the WEA. It aims
to improve the prospects of families with complex needs in Berkshire by addressing barriers
that prevent them from entering and sustaining employment.
Through regular meetings with Family Support Workers, BFB helps participants identify their own long term
goals, and gives access to existing and bespoke services to remove the barriers to achieving them.
The project has family at its centre and is about changing the way families are supported through the use
of a holistic and empowering model.

To be eligible for support, participants must be over 16 and unemployed or economically inactive
(retired, a full time student, disabled, or a full time carer).
