Do you have some time to spare and want to make a difference?
Do you want to develop your work skills, or share existing ones to help us?
Do you have personal experience of domestic abuse and want to support our Charity?
Volunteers play a huge part in the ongoing success of our organisation. Whether volunteering for a day or two throughout the year or for a few hours every week, we can find something for you!
Why Is Volunteering a Great Thing To Do?
It's a great way to meet new friends, learn new skills, understand what it is like to work in the Charity sector or simply a way to 'do good' and make a difference to your local community. We have an ever-growing pool of volunteers - people of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels, but each one passionate about helping the work of The Dash Charity. We participate in a range of events throughout the year - all helping to raise the profile of the Charity, raise awareness of domestic abuse and raise vital funds to sustain our work. Whether it is bucket-shaking, hosting an awareness stall, helping at a community event or a larger event, there is sure to be something for you!
We regularly meet to share ideas and we welcome your input to ensure we make your experience of volunteering the best it can be. You will require a DBS check for all volunteer roles.
If you have some time to spare and would like to find out more about how you can help us please come along to one of our regular Volunteer Open Evenings (dates will be on our Events page) or Email Jo and we will send you an application form.
We need you!
Can you spare 1 day a week to help us answer calls on our helpdesk? If you have additional language skills, even better! Please complete the form below and we will be in touch!
We always need volunteers to help us with fundraising and community events, especially over our busy summer months, so if you can spare a bit of time to help we would love to hear from you!
This is our volunteer Sara in the pic below, who was Highly Commended Volunteer of the Year for RBWM last year! Sara loved volunteering so much, she now works for us as Refuge IDVA.
