Double your donation to Dash during The Big Give’s Women & Girls Match Fund campaign.
The Dash Charity is taking part in the Big Give’s Women & Girls Match Fund to raise £10,000 in just 1 week! These funds will be used for our Breaking the Cycle project, helping Dash successfully support women and girls who are survivors of domestic abuse, as they rebuild their lives with improved mental health and wellbeing.
Donations to Breaking the Cycle will be generously matched by our supporters and Big Give.
Donate to our page during the campaign meaning your money can support the mental health of twice as many women and girls who are survivors of domestic abuse.
All funds raised, regardless of whether we hit our target or not – or whether we exceed it or not – will help us to deliver services to improve the mental health of women/girls who are survivors of domestic abuse in Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire.
Our programmes explore strategies for self-care and rebuilding self-esteem, improved coping techniques, parenting, managing anxiety and positive thinking.
Sarah*, a domestic abuse survivor and former Dash client, said: “I cannot put into words what the support from Dash has meant to me. My story would have been different without them. They gave me the confidence to make life changing decisions and always listened without judgement. There is a long road ahead for me but I’ve had the best start because of them.”
Support from The Dash Charity is for all genders, with the focus this week on donating towards its work with women and girls.
Nicola Miller, Chief Executive at The Dash Charity, said:
“Domestic abuse is a gendered issue, and the impact of domestic abuse trauma upon mental health can be lifelong. 1 in 3 women will experience it at some point in their lives, whilst 72% of domestic homicide victims are women.
“Donating to our campaign via The Big Give this week means your donation could be doubled and have twice the impact for women and girls who are recovering from domestic abuse.”
