£28,000 (pro rata for part time hours)

Hours 22.5h (over 3.5 days) or Full time (35 h) for the right candidate

“I can’t describe how much I appreciate support Dash gave me. From the very first minute I felt I am not alone. They made me believe in myself again and build up my confidence back, while supporting me through this horrible, difficult and life changing period of time”. [Young Mum of two]

In 2020, DASH had over 1,000 calls to their helpline and supported 436 local clients through advocacy and outreach services. They also supported 44 women and 45 children in their 3 refuges, who have fled across the country from abuse. DASH helps victims access free legal assistance and their programmes help women, men and children/young people recognise tactics of abuse, so they can feel more empowered and break the cycle of abuse. Do you want to join this incredible organisation and raise vital funds to help STOP Domestic Abuse within your local area?

The role of Community Engagement and Supporter Care Manager is a brand new role to the charity and by joining the team in this capacity you will play an integral role in DASH’s engagement across the local community in South Buckinghamshire and East Berkshire. The post-holder will be the central point of contact for all non-grant supporters of the charity, including all those who have given, or might give, to the charity. The role will be varied and interesting and will involve communicating the charity’s fundraising ‘case’ via social media, key relationship development, donor management, crafting of newsletters, storytelling and the regular co-ordination of local engagement activities. As Community and Engagement Supporter Care Manager you will drive the awareness of the organisation within the local area, raise invaluable funds to enable the running of the service, and play a vital role in conveying the impact of this incredible organisation.

DASH is passionate about providing the best possible ‘supporter care’ to the friends, families, businesses and community organisations that are donating and working hard to raise money for the charity’s work – are you the right person to step into this role and play a vital part in making this happen?

To be considered for this role you should come to us with either a background in fundraising or from a customer-facing and sales environment. We are looking for a person with warmth, charisma and enthusiasm. A strong and confident communicator, you should have the ability to develop relationships with ease and be passionate about treating supporters with the respect and care that they deserve. You must be a good team-player with great administration skills, an eye for detail and perhaps most importantly a genuine passion for the work of this invaluable organisation.

In return for your skill and commitment DASH will offer flexible working hours (minimum 22.5 hours, maximum 35), 25 days holiday plus bank holidays pro-rata, mobile phone, pension as well as training and coaching from our expert fundraising advisors – Nova Fundraising.

The role will close on 19th November but early application is advisable as the position may close when we have a sufficient number of suitable applications.
